Rusted Oak

10"H x 9"W x 9"D. Made using 24 and 26 gauge steel wire. This wire has not been galvanized so it is allowed to rust producing a soft brown matte finish. Some highlights in the tree sculpture are created by using a bright silver color wire under the rusted wire. The tree is planted and bounded onto a 4.5" round stainless steel base with sea sand and small pebbles. The sea sand mixture is painted in several coats of yellow, green and white India ink. The color and texture of the surface of the mound gives the feel and appearance of moss covered earth. All the colors used are "light fast" and will not fade.
