Leaves of Gold
11" x 14" x 9" This tree sculpture is made of 24 and 26 gauge bright gold color wire. The end of each wire is hammered flat creating a small thin leaf. The tree seems to defy gravity as it leans gracefully to the right. The supporting roots of the tree are extending out of a mound of rocks, pebbles and sand which are painted with India ink in yellows, greens and white to create moss. The tree is planted in a glossy blue ceramic container.
